​This Shakespeare comedy is the story of Leonato welcoming his friends to visit his home. The arriving men meet Leonato's daughter and niece, which leads to Claudio quickly falling in love with Hero, while Benedick and Beatrice resist their feelings for one another. With deceptions of both good and ill intent, will it all get sorted out in time for everyone to get their happy ending?​

Audition Notice

Auditions are being held Friday, June 16 at 6:30 pm at Franklin Jr. High, located at 4801 Franklin Ave, Des Moines, and Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 am at Ankeny Community Theatre. Callbacks will be June 17 at 3:00 pm.

We know Shakespeare can be intimidating, but don't worry, you can come prepared! Click here to view the sides that will be read at auditions. You can prepare all four, or you can prepare for the typically-female roles (Hero and Beatrice) or the typically-male roles (Don Pedro and Benedick). 

Casting for 16 roles, ages 14 and above, gender-blind and age-blind. All are encouraged to audition for this show!
